Workstations are loaded with standard software and pre-installed clients for many library research databases.

 

IIF Hardware

11 student PCs, and 1 instructor PC which each include:

• Pentium 4.34 GHZ processor running Windows XP
• Built-in 3.5” disk drive, writable DVD and CD drives, 80 GB hard drive, with 1 GB RAM

Other hardware in the IIF:

• Ceiling-mounted projector
• Large pull-down screen
• Whiteboard
• Robotel which gives the instructor some special opportunities for projecting work (see attachment)
• Elmo Projector for displaying transparencies and regular printed material (see attachment)
• DVD/CD player at instructor workstation
• Laserdisc player at instructor workstation
• VHS VCR at instructor workstation
• Plugin interface to connect a laptop (PC or Mac) network and projector
• Microtek ScanMaker X12 (available from workstation #11)

The PCs are set up so that the user needs an NT password. All staff, students, and faculty should have an NT password. If you are unsure, call Computer Services at x4901.
