Reference services (top ↑)

Individual appointments for research assistance or orientation to the Burling Library and its resources may be scheduled with members of the reference librarians.

Reference librarians are unable to provide extensive look-ups, index searches, reading, note-taking, form completion, etc. Patrons who require such services should confer with the Academic Student Support and Advising staff at (http://www.grinnell.edu/offices/studentaffairs/acadadvising/staff/) to make appropriate arrangements or otherwise make their own provisions for these services. In some cases, patrons may wish to ask readers, note-takers, interpreters, etc., to accompany them to the reference desk, to an individual appointment session, or elsewhere within the library so the assistants will be better able to continue with whatever follow-up help is required.

Adaptive technology

An Aladdin Rainbow Personal Reader is located on the 3rd floor, on the North side on Burling near Carrel #322,  There is a large-print help manual at the carrel.
